Optical Assistant – Independent Opticians

Location: Bishopbriggs, North Glasgow
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Part Time – 3 or 4 days per week
Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm
Days: Flexible – with the potential for no Saturday working

Insightful Recruitment is working with a lovely independent opticians in Bishopbriggs, North Glasgow, who are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their team on a 3 or 4-day-per-week basis.

This could be a fantastic opportunity if you enjoy the more personal side of optics and would prefer to work within an independent environment where patient care and building relationships really matter.

The role

You’ll be joining an established independent practice and supporting patients throughout their journey, from welcoming them into the practice and carrying out pre-screening through to helping with frame selection, dispensing and general day-to-day optical duties.

Previous optical experience is essential, as they are looking for someone who can come into the practice with a good understanding of the Optical Assistant role and confidently support both the team and their patients.

What are we looking for?

You’ll need to have previous experience working within an optical practice and be comfortable with the day-to-day responsibilities of an Optical Assistant.

Most importantly, they’re looking for someone personable, reliable and confident who enjoys looking after patients and would fit well within a smaller independent team.

If you’re currently working in optics and would love the flexibility of a 3 or 4-day week – particularly with the possibility of keeping your Saturdays free – this is definitely worth a conversation.
